Alex Though he's the main character of the story, it's hard to consider
Alex a hero by any standards. Lazy, whiny, and tending to open his
mouth before thinking, he has few redeeming qualities. He has a thirst
for fame and fortune (and love!) but hasn't quite found his big chance.

|
|
Jarrod Jarrod is Alex's best friend, but the two of them are almost complete opposites.
Sweet, responsible, respectful, and hard working, you'd expect him to be the hero of a story. Well, not this one.

Emily Barton An energetic and spirited girl, Emily is the princess of the kingdom of Solmyra. She's quick witted and equally quick to speak her mind. Deceptively good with a sword, she often cuts out on her tutoring to practice her swordsmanship.

The "Big Bad Wolf" The self-proclaimed "King of Bandits", he goes by the name The Big Bad Wolf.
In the beginning of the story, Jarrod and Alex capture him for a meager bounty. Since then,
he has been plotting his revenge.

Edward Sican Sican is the Captain of the Cambrian Royal Guard and Princess Emily and Arithemia's childhood friend. He's generally a serious and reliable man, but sometimes his high metabolism gets the better of him. Sican is completely blind in his left eye due to an unfortunate incident involving a beef kabob and a duck at a picnic. (Although by Ari's suggestion, he insists it's an old battle wound.)

|
|
Arithemia Arithemia is Emily's bodyguard and best friend. She is the epitome of the saying, "Speak softly and carry a big stick". Or, in her case, a rapier.

The King and Queen of Solmyra Emily's parents.

|
Professor Martins Emily's long winded tutor. It is his life's ambition to educate the royal heir to be the paragon of noble diplomatic integrity.

Martha and Billy Martha runs a bakery and allows Alex and Jarrod to live in a shed on top of her shop in exchange for their services as night guards. Billy is staying with her while his parents set up a new bakery in Anlee.

The Tournament Announcer, Naoten Naoten was once an enthusiastic participant of the Royal Cabrian Tournament of Arms. That was, until he lost his sword arm in a match three years ago. Unable to compete, he's poured that passion into promoting and officiating the tournament.
